เมื่อวันที่ 18 เมษายน 2568 นายดุสิต เมนะพันธุ์ ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการเขตแดนร่วมไทย-เมียนมา (Joint Boundry Committee : JBC) (ฝ่ายไทย) พร้อมด้วยคณะทั้งจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และกรมแผนที่ทหาร ลงพื้นที่จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์เพื่อรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ด้านความมั่นคงและเศรษฐกิจบริเวณจุดผ่อนปรนพิเศษด่านสิงขร

ประธาน JBC (ฝ่ายไทย) ได้หารือร่วมกับส่วนราชการและภาคเอกชนในพื้นที่ เกี่ยวกับการยกระดับจุดผ่อนปรนพิเศษด่านสิงขรให้เป็นจุดผ่านแดนถาวร พร้อมทั้งได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นในประเด็นต่าง ๆ ที่อยู่ในความสนใจร่วมกัน โดยเฉพาะด้านศักยภาพทางการค้าและเศรษฐกิจในบริเวณชายแดนจุดผ่อนปรนด่านสิงขร ตลอดจนสถานการณ์ความมั่นคงบริเวณชายแดนไทย-เมียนมา ซึ่งสถานการณ์การสู้รบในฝั่งเมียนมายังดำเนินอยู่ในปัจจุบัน จากนั้นประธาน JBC ฝ่ายไทยได้ลงพื้นที่เพื่อตรวจภูมิประเทศจริงในบริเวณจุดผ่อนปรนพิเศษด่านสิงขร เพื่อศึกษาสภาพภูมิประเทศเพื่อเตรียมผลักดันการยกระดับจุดผ่อนปรนพิเศษด่านสิงขรให้เป็นจุดผ่านแดนถาวรในอนาคต ต่อไป

Chairman of the Thailand-Myanmar Joint Boundary Committee (JBC) (Thai Side) visits Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry

On 18 April 2025, Mr. Dusit Manapan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Thailand-Myanmar Joint Boundary Committee (JBC) (Thai Side), led a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Thai Survey Department to Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.  The visit included an inspection of the area and a breifing from local authorities and the private sector on the current security and economic situation along the Thailand-Myanmar border near the Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry.

During the visit, discussions were held with local government agencies and private sector representatives on the progress of upgrading the Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry to an international point of entry.  Views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest, particularly regarding trade and the economic potential of the Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry, as well as the current security situation along the Thailand-Myanmar border, taking into account the ongoing situation in Myanmar. 

Following the discussions, the Chairman of the JBC (Thai Side) also conducted an on-site visit to the Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry, as part of the preparation to upgrade the Singkhon-Mawtaung Special Point of Entry to an international point of entry in the near future.
