เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๘ นายเบญจมินทร์ สุกาญจนัจที อธิบดีกรมสนธิสัญญาและกฎหมาย ได้พบหารือกับ Ms. Elinor Hammarskjöld รองเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติฝ่ายกฎหมาย และที่ปรึกษากฎหมายแห่งสหประชาชาติ โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นในประเด็นกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศภายใต้การทำงานของคณะกรรมการ ๖ และในโอกาสนี้ Ms. Elinor Hammarskjöld ได้ชื่นชมและขอบคุณรัฐบาลไทย สำหรับการเป็นเจ้าภาพร่วมกับสหประชาชาติในการจัดการฝึกอบรมหลักสูตรกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศของสหประชาชาติสำหรับภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก ที่ประเทศไทย ซึ่งจัดขึ้นมาอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๒๙ และประสบผลสำเร็จอย่างดียิ่ง โดยถือเป็นหลักสูตรที่สำคัญในการพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านกฎหมายระหว่างในภูมิภาค เพราะมีส่วนช่วยเสริมสร้างความรู้และความเข้าใจในเรื่องกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ ตลอดจนเป็นโอกาสให้ผู้เข้ารับการฝึกอบรมได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น ประสบการณ์ และสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างกัน 

                 On 29 October 2025, Mr. Benjamin Sukanjanajatee, Director-General of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs, met with Ms. Elinor Hammarskjöld, Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and United Nations Legal Counsel. The two sides exchanged views on international legal matters under the work of the Sixth Committee. On this occasion, Ms. Hammarskjöld expressed her appreciation to Thailand for its long-standing cooperation with the UN Office of Legal Affairs in co-hosting the United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Asia-Pacific in Thailand. The Course, held annually since 1986, has been highly successful and has served as a key capacity-building programme in the region.  It has enhanced knowledge and understanding of international law, facilitated the exchange of views, experiences, and importantly, strengthened professional networks among participants.
